What is Aculeus?

Aculeus is the intelligence layer that reads the public record, keeps the documents it finds, and ties every finding to its source. Three products are built on it: Starglass, PublicTide and Equites.

Who is it for?

Starglass is for analysts, newsrooms and trade associations that need answers with the sources attached. Equites is for people who read filings before they read headlines. PublicTide is for independent creators and their readers. The layer itself runs for media groups, funders and platforms on their own record.

What is Starglass?

Starglass is the research agent on the layer. Ask a question with a source pack or a dataset. Quick Answer returns a cited response now. Deep Research pauses on an editable plan before anything runs, then returns a Living Case that keeps the answer, its sources, the conversation and the open questions together.

What happens to my files and data?

Files and structured data stay in your workspace. In Data Workbench, raw rows stay private, and Starglass works from schema profiles and computed aggregates. The security page carries the full terms.

How is this different from a general chatbot?

A chatbot gives you a fluent answer. The layer gives you a plan you approve before anything runs, a captured copy of the documents it cites, a citation that opens the document at the cited words, and a receipt that names what was searched and what was not.
